Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Summary

My thoughts and comments
For those of you who are too anxious to know exactly what had happened to the main characters of rowling's sixth book but are also too lazy to read the entire 607 pg book, you've stepped on some good luck by visiting my blog... or perhaps you've just stumbled upon here, not that i care...

The PRINCE has much fewer pages than the ORDER, however that does not make it less appealing though. Much changes were founded along the way- new relationships began to take place, voldemort's past began to unfold and also you can expect a death of an important person in all of harry's adventures...

Personally i think that the PRINCE was written so as to introduce the readers to what was going to take place in the 7th book. There was an insight to why voldemort still remained so-called "immortal" after all his encounters with people who tried to kill him (mostly dumbledore and harry) . The secret lies in a terrible method which no wizard has ever dared to try more than once... and that is the HORCRUXES. Now you must be wondering what kind of new monster is that. Well, that is a method to separate (well i was about to use "rip") a person's soul to more than one part. NO wizard has ever gone further than separating their souls into two parts. You can imagine the severity and grostic consequences of this soul-dividing technique. Voldemort, to fulfil his dream of becoming immortal, did all he could to achieve immortality. However before voldemrt could create a horcrux, he is needed to kill people, tons and tons of people. For a cold-blooded murderer like him, i guess that could be no problem for him at all.

Voldemort created 6 HORCRUXES and the remaining 1 was in his newly restored body. That explains the change in his physical appearance from a handsome boy ( he got his looks from his muggle father ) to a half-human with slitlike pupils and bloodstained eyes and pale deathly looking skin. In short, in order to pursue his immortality dream, he has traded his good looks, all his years of learning and also his last remaining conscience that he still has.

The end of the PRINCE marks the death of harry's last remaining protector, and that is DUMBLEDORE. Readers would sigh at the incredulity of all-how could Dumbledore, the greatest wizard of all times, die? Surely he would be revived by members of the order or a kind of mysterious magic? Sad to say, Rowling does have a thing for making kind people die. However, all these deaths (Sirius and dumbledore) have caused the story to make an unexpected turn. The storyline will become darker, more unpredictable, leaving fans with more anticipation.

This time, Harry did not find any ways of reviving Dumbledore, nor did he try to speak to him again. He just accepted his death and tried very hard to take it in his stride. However, Harry, full of love and respect for his headmaster, still felt an implaccable loss. Forced to face the fight that he has been avoiding for fifteen years, Harry understood that no one would stand between him and voldemort again, no one else would be there to sacrifice their lives for him ever again. The truth always hurts but it may be a blessing in disguise... this means that the constant fear and waiting- waiting for what voldemort would do next- would finally end in the never-to-be-forotten battle between the Chosen One and the Dark Lord...

What i think will take place in the last of harry's book...
There is a hint that harry would not be attending his seventh year of schol at Hogwarts. With a mission on hand, how can he still concentrate his studies after all that has happened? Hogwarts may also close due to the murder of a headmaster by a fellow teacher on the same school, even if the school remained open, families of students would want their children to be safe. Despite all the ancient spells and wise wizards presnt in Hogwarts, there would still be an uncertainty concerning the safety of Hogwarts students.

Harry would definitely set off to find the remaining of voldemort's horcuxes, there are 4 of them remaining now. 3 had been destroyed, 1 was riddle's diary in the Chamber of Secrets, the other was a ring which dumbledore destroyed and the last of all was destroyed by a mysteriuos person who called himself R.A.B. Whoever he was, that is for harry to find out.

Praise to the author...
I sometimes marvel at the powerful imagination of Rowling. It seems that there is nothing that she couldn't dream of, couldn't come up with. There is no way to speculate what she was about to come up with. Her storyline would not fail to catch you off-guard and i truly am envious of her obvious talent in writing and creating stories with storylines that would hold us all spellbound, just like a body-freezing spell.
